(I also have listed the best places to buy accommodation in Bangkok, the most expensive, in the bottom corner of each hotel page.)
Mai Bangkok is one of the more expensive Changeling Hotels in Bangkok. The cost of Mai is around 8,500 Baht. It is located on the north side of Chiang Mai, close to Thong Lorai. The hotel has a large terrace with a great view of the city and surrounding mountains. There are two pools and a couple of other swimming spots. A nice restaurant/bar/dining room can be found on the ground floor. It has a lovely patio area which is ideal for a few drinks after a hard day of work.
You can easily rent a car at the hotel if you like to travel the area a little faster. There are several good hotels and hotels in the city, but it is important to understand that prices are subject to change so ask before you book. In case you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comment section. If you like to do the bus, you can get from the Bangkok International Airport to Chiang Mai City via the Thong Lor/Thong Lor Bus Line. The journey takes about an hour and 45 minutes, and can be booked at a discounted price, and the return is about the same, or you can just walk or take the metro. As the journey is mostly on the road, there will be many long, slow-moving buses which will pass by the hotel. The bus line to the hotel is usually busy, so don't expect it to be free of passengers, so the bus may be packed. If you arrive by bus, you will find an old bus stop which can get quite crowded, so you will probably not be able to get out easily. The hotel has a good-sized dining hall, and most of the time there will be an open kitchen. The room with the TV and other things you will need is usually in the basement. If you're planning to stay here for a while, then a double room is probably enough to satisfy your budget.
There are a lot of things to do in the hotel. The main building and grounds are open to the public. If you're looking for something more private, you can check out one of the many private rooms, which cost about $75 a night. There are also some nice parks around here for people to enjoy. They are all pretty small, and most of them have benches. The main restaurant is a little place near the hotel entrance where the people can eat. You can also go for a walk in the park. I recommend the restaurant, as it is pretty good. There's also a little shopping area, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who are only looking for something private.
Hotel: This hotel is a nice old building that you can stay in. The price is a little higher than the normal ones, but if you can take advantage of the free breakfast the staff give you, it's worth it. Rooms are comfortable, and I had no problem sleeping in there, even if it was cold at night. I did, however, have a little problem sleeping the night before because I had just gotten off a flight. It wasn't too bad, though. If you're looking for a simple hotel with a great view, you'll probably want to stay at the hotel where the famous Thai woman named "The Chameleon" lives. Hotels with free breakfast This is a pretty standard free breakfast. There's no reason not to have one. I've had it a couple times and it is always a lot more than I expected. I didn't think it would be this good! If you want to stay in a nice room with hot water and free breakfast then it's the way to go. Hotel with free breakfast I think this is what a free breakfast is all about.
